In loving memory of
Avery Reine Cantor

The brAvery Foundation® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of youth suicide. We believe that education is critical to suicide prevention and our mission is twofold:
To increase awareness of youth mental illness and suicide prevention through education and advocacy; and
To provide scholarships locally to foster the education and training of students who have a demonstrated commitment to a career in the mental health profession.

Fly high sweet Angel!

"There are some people who bring a light so great into the world
that even after they have gone,
the light remains."

Be the light to someone's darkness.

The background of our website is ‘Forget Me Not’ flowers. Chosen as we will never forget a loved one lost to suicide. Avery lives on in all those she touched.

The logo of the sun, moon and stars was created by Avery’s sweet friend, Cassie B. Avery’s mom would tell Avery from the time she was a baby all through her life that she loved Avery ‘sun, moon, and …. stars!” The number 5 has always had special meaning for them both which is represented by the 5 stars.

The font used for TbF headline was chosen by Avery’s brother, Austin. This font is called ‘love you like a sister’. (perfect!)

This website and our work to help bring mental health awareness and suicide prevention through education and advocacy is to honor Avery’s legacy of helping others.
